As the Director of The Art School, I can tell you that the idea of this school was born from an off-the-cuff suggestion and a need.
The suggestion came from a faculty member who had participated in an Art and Literature based function I had planned at my children's school in an effort to bring the talent in our community together with the many children in this area.
The need came from my personal experiences as an English teacher, artist, "foodie" and ultimately, stay-at-home (ha!) mother of four. I found that creating this school was the perfect way to combine my loves: family with work, art & language with cooking, talented artists with willing students, education with community improvement.
Indivdiually, each teacher is a creative dynamo with talent and generosity of spirit to spare. Together, they support and encourage the big growth of the small ideas within, so that everything becomes possible
